Prescription Request
Prescriptions and refills for established patients of Sim Family Clinic in Houston, Texas are routinely issued during our regular business hours. We do not accept any requests for prescription refills or change of medication requests over the phone or fax. These requests can be addressed by scheduling an appointment. No refills are issued during the evenings, weekends, or holidays, as the doctors do not have access to your medical records during those times. It is helpful to anticipate your refill needs to avoid an interruption in your medication therapy.
During your scheduled office visit, your prescriptions refill requests may be addressed and the doctors prescribe ample medication until your next scheduled visit. It is important to attend your scheduled visits so that the doctor can examine you, run any necessary tests, check your medications and refill them if necessary. If you were recently seen and the medications prescribed are not effective or your condition has not improved, the doctor would like for you to schedule an appointment to be seen. These requests will not be handled over the phone. Be aware that we do not prescribe narcotics, pain medication, or sleep aids.
